Nero’s Day at Disneyland

Feb. 21st, 2009 | 08:08 pm

Nero’s Day at Disneyland / Happy Screaming Night Businessman

Have you ever wondered what Venetian Snares and Dan Deacon would sound like in the form of candied pop rocks crackling in your mouth while riding space mountain? YES! If you’re in the Oakland/SF area and can spare 5 dollars, then I recommend checking out Nero’s Day at Disneyland at Heco’s Place. (I live too far and I desperatly need to experience this vicariously through someone.) Starts at 9pm tonight (2/21), hurry you can still make it.

Clitotype 1.0

“Survival in cyber-pornography era. Experiments on the typographical body, the electronic body and the human body.

In an age where boys learn about sex from internet pornography, I think that it is fundamental to educate and to inform on “real” sex. My work is ironical typographic play on dimensional relationships between type elements and anatomical sexual organs. Titles, leading and column width values have the full size dimensions of human genitalia.

I discover that the physiological size of the clitoris extension is type size 36 to 80, and the erectile penis tissue extension goes from 480 to 790. I also identify the pleasure spots (female G-spot and male L-spot), the lubrification glands and their physiological description in relation to the practiced sexual mutilations.”

Pantone Pen Print

“Balanced on their nibs each of a set of 288 felt tip pens releases ink that expands into the layers of a ream of paper, making each layer of this multi-print different. This predicted variety is translated into a gambling tension for the consumer that chooses to purchase an unknown result on an unseen layer.” - The Aram Gallery

Modern Critter

Jan. 31st, 2008 | 04:44 pm

For the mid century modern cat lover. Modern Critter is a simple plank of steamed wood with a patch of FLOR carpet. Put the two together and you have a nice little scratching post.

Also I was searching around for modern pet beds. I came across moderncat.net a blog just for you modern cat lovers. Check it out, lots of good stuff.

Flying Stick Camera

Jan. 31st, 2008 | 04:18 pm

Playing in the park on long stretched afternoons. I have many fond memories as a kid romping and running around. I wish I had a toy that captured those moments. The Flying Stick Camera is something I probably would of broke, but enjoyed playing with. Spin it between your hands and the stick flys up taking photos on set intervals. Fun Fun!

Beat Blinds

Jan. 25th, 2008 | 12:54 pm

"Put a little sound in your sill! These wooden window blinds have a secondary purpose as a musical instrument. Beat Blinds help integrate play for children into adult environments and encourage them to embrace the world of music."

For kids or not, this looks fun to play with.

The Enlightenment

I have a stack of books that I’ve bought or borrowed that I’ve slowly forgotten to read. Nothing like a glowing light to help remember that. The Enlightenment book light comes with a 9 watt energy saving light and 10 percent of the proceeds go to charity.
